Mrs. Reid's Grade 6: Trip To The Airport!

What a wonderful experience! Today we took a ride up to the airport to visit the Air Creebec Hanger. Their chief flight attendant lead our tour. We got to sit in a plane and get the feel for riding in a plane. Julie, our flight attendant, gave us some history of the company, before we got to take a peek into the cockpit. After that, we looked around the hanger getting a closer look at the plane. We got to see the aerofoil shape of the plane's wings that we discussed in class. We talked about the four forces (lift, gravity, thrust, drag) of flight. Seeing a plane up close is a great way to see just how amazing the science of flight really is!
